Film Review - 3 a.m.

Run Off the Mill

Film: 3 A.M
Cast: Rannvijay Singh, Anindita Nayar, Kavin Dave
Directed by: Vishal Mahadkar
Duration: 2 hrs
Rating:  * 1 / 2

Another travesty in the name of a horror, thriller film this one borders on a comedy it times because it is so silly. It makes you wonder how anyone could conceive a story like this and on what grounds somebody in his right mind would put it in money to make such a film.

I can’t remember the last time when I zoned out in the first 30 seconds of a film. Right at the beginning we are told that in many cultures 3 a.m is supposed to be the most haunted hour. Yeah, right – all the ghouls have alarms on their cell phones to remind them of the
time.

Told in flashback Sunny (Rannvijay Singh) an anchor and reality show director of sorts investigates the death of his girlfriend (Annidita Nayar) who dies while filming a show at a haunted mill.

He decides to do on haunted places after getting approval from his producer – “Show ko it darawana banao ki log apne ghar mein dekhne se bhi ghabra jaye” he says. Along with his friends, they set up a rather shoddy production to capture the hyper active ghost who was the mill owner. In case you get tired of him there are some songs thrown in for relief before the ghost takes centre stage again.

At one point, the caretaker warns them by saying “Amavasya ki raat buri atmaye aur bhi powerful ho jaati hain.

You can consider this review as a warning.
